What would make the marine out of my kitchen faucet smell like dirt? I suspect it could be a discharge somewhere, but there's no debris coming out near the water. Just the smell. I use a Pur filter, but even beside it turned on I can still smell the dirt. I rent my house and I'm not too sure my landlord wishes to be digging up water pipes.
It might be the filter! When you turn on your water it might backflow into the thump.
Maybe your hot sea tank may requirement cleaning. Make sure you inform your landlord. Is it hot or cold hose that smells? Is it discolored like rust colored?
Maybe that's the agency the water is contained by your area. Our friend have well hose down and it smells.
Answers: There are several things that could lead to this problem. First thing. Is your house on the conclude of a water smudge. (Are you at the end of a unconscious end street) If so the lines will collect sediment. Call your local wet authority and have them come out and flush the vein.
Second: Are you in an nouns that is currently experiencing a river shortage? If so there is a possibility that your city have switched over to using back up well. If this is the case the problem will travel away after your area get some good precipitation.
Third: Is your area experiencing stout rain plunge? If so, the fresh water supply my be getting infiltration from local streams and bodies of sea. Again this will go away when conditions revision.
What ever your situation. Your best bet would be to call your local sea authority and report the "Quality" of your water.
How do I know these things? My wife works for our local wet authority. And believe me, she is the authority. If you don't believe me...just ask her. hahaha
