I think that my all right water have this problem....any ideas? Water is high-ranking in iron to start beside. We have a hose softener and a filter. I still notice an iron predilection, but recently notice a subtle sulfur smell, which I believe may be from iron eating microbes.
Answers: The iron can be managed next to a filtration system. I don't know about your financial situation, but within is a system that injects your water near potassium permanganate. This chemical allows the iron molecules to clump and are filtered through a sand bed filter. This filter have to be backwashed periodically. They do make home unit that will do this, but it can be spendy.
A larger filter unit near the proper filter may take concern of that problem.
As for the sulpher, it you smell it in the cold sea, your well may entail to be shocked. This involves the addition of chlorine into your very well, let it sit for 8 hours minimum, and afterwards you flush the system until you can no longer smell chlorine. Just about any very well driller will do this for a fee. It isn't that discouraging considering it will eliminate the problem.
Good luck!
Put another dampen filter under your kitchen sink especially for cooking & drinking.
