I'm Guessing this is a surfboard. If so.... bring it to a surf shop they can repair it for you for pretty cheap. You dont want to hot glue it because that will screw near the performance of the board. what requests to be done is you need some Fiberglass filler and Resin. Fill within the chip with the filler and put a piece of fiberglass cloth over it. spread some more resin over it. Let it dry and afterwards sand it down smooth. It's a little trickier consequently it sounds so you might want to take it within. Hope this helps!!
