We found this bug in our untried brick house that has a great deal of wood in it. Is it a termite or wood drinking beetle? If not does this kind of bug get through wood?
Does plastic on window really sustain?
Answers:    Looks like a soft-winged Flower Beetle to me.

The soft-winged flower beetle, Anthocomus bipunctatus, is one of the several beetles that transport pollen.
