I am looking to use copper for my shop air compressor instead of galvanize pipe.
Answers: Make sure the copper tubing you use is "ACR" (air conditioning and refrigeration) and not water type tubing. ACR tubing is thicker and withstand high pressures. Brazing the joint is much stronger than soldered joint. You would use an oxy-acetylene set up and the brazing alloy is called sil-phos that's15% silver. This set up will slickly withstand over 1000psi
Max for soft solder joints is 150 psi accordfing to the power-driven code.
I would expect you would be ok with that purely make sure you enjoy the joints bottomed contained by the fittings for max strength.
