I have an existing HVAC unit within the home that I just purchased. It worked fine for the first month and now it wont maintain the house cold. There is one unit outside and I know we have the duct work here. The fan on the outside unit will not save running. I was wondering if anyone could tellme how much it would cost me to replace the unit. I live within WV and its HOT!

You could try calling a hvac contractor and tell him what size element you have and they can give you a quote. Or you could of late have a service person come out and inspect the section. Maybe it has a small leak and wants a minor repair and recharge

unless the compressor burned out it would be cheaper to fix the one you have. if you have duct work on the outside section then it is a package component . if you lived in oklahoma i could make you a large amount on one. your looking at around $6000
