The previous owner of our house built a 6 foot wooden dog eared board fence and attached the hinge post of the takings to the house with some giving of bolt. The hinge post is a two by four and is pulling away from the house probably from the weight of the proceeds. I am unable to tighten or remove the existing bolts holding the takings to the house so I don't know what kind of bolt he used. I also don't know if the previous owner placed the post surrounded by line beside a stud or not. I figure my solely options are any to drill new holes and put topical bolts in to hold the total admission money up or to somehow attach a wheel or caster to the bottom of the total admission money. The outside of the fence is grass but the inside of the obstruction and the direction the gate open is cement though the hinge post itself is set on the grass. Because the gate is dragging on the cement, it is bit by bit pulling off the paling boards of the gate and nail are holding well any more.
What is the best passageway to solve this problem and fix this gate? Thanks.

Sounds similar to you have the right model otherwise with re drilling for the hinge. Hardware sites also have hardware available for gate... neat stuff.

Answers: First of adjectives you must determine if the 2 X 4 hinge post is bolted to a stud on the wall by nailing above the hinge post directly on the wall and integer if you hit a stud or not. If you hit a stud you are in luck because you can place something close to a brick on the bottom of the gate while you anchor the hinge post better to the wall. Several option: place metal c-clamp straps around the hinge post (top & bottom) and secure to wall beside anchor bolts, or cut old bolts near saw-saw and move hinge to new nouns and replace with topical bolts. Screw large eye-hook on the top of the wall or hinge post and run cable (used to lock bicycles) from wall to takings openning. The cable will swing when you open or close the total admission money and keep it from dragging.
