the installers desided to get drunk or something and hike all over my tile floor next to carpet gum on the feet. The business I go through said it would cost me money to have them come and fix it. It be their mistake in the first place right?
Try using WD-40 or GooGone. Most floor adhesives are petroleum groundwork, so you must use a petroleum based product to remove them. Use merely scratch resistant scrub pad.

I would hold them responsible, but if you want it rotten before the court date, use epoxy resin remover (From a lumber yard) or "Goo-Be-Gone", or "Goof Off", or just some creamy peanut-butter.

(If your tiles are smooth, a blade blade can also be used.)
Answers:    They should verbs up their mess for sure. You bought the product and went through a business so hold them responsible and stick to your guns. Otherwise somewhat mineral spirits on a clean scarf should get it up.
