Mine "chirps" between about 4AM to six AM and it is directly above my laundry room. One more put somebody through the mill, when they are working properly, is the little green light on or stale? It makes the most sense to me that the muted would be on, but the offending one's light is on and the other seem to be dead (no light). Plus, if it is a dust problem, why does it merely chirp at designated times in the middle of the hours of darkness? I have black circles beneath my eyes, don't mind replacing them, but just curious roughly speaking the obnoxious timing issue. From, Sleepless in Seattle
Answers: Start near the obvious, replace the battery. This is a typical sign that the batteries are nearly deceased, better them than you. Even if the unit is 120 volt, it have batteries. Write the date on the strange batteries when you replace them so you know what the time frame be for each set. The unit will typically go stale when they get cold roughly 5-6 AM in Seattle, this is the lowest voltage admonition that tells of unsubstantiated batteries.
