What is cause my first floor toilet to bubble when other fixtures are draining? Air bubbles come up from the drain in my first floor toilet...
Air bubbles come up from the drain in my first floor toilet every time the toilet upstairs is flushed, or the shower is running, or the wash machine is draining. Also, the toilet doesn't other flush all the course. Usually every other time I flush it, the water rises to the top of the bowl and later slowly returns to the original height, but doesn't flush all the agency. It sometimes works perfectly fine though. Oh, and I don't hold a basement, my most important water lines are on duplicate level as the problem toilet.
Answers: I would suspect you do not enjoy proper venting.
Sounds approaching you have a partial blockage surrounded by or beyond the u-bend of your first floor loo.Throw some buckets of water down it,to see if it clears it,but for, your going to have to put a polite drain cleaner down it,or call a plumber.
