What is and what cause chlorine constraint within a swimming pool? How do you prevent this from arranged? I have an Aqua rite Salt Generator for my gunite pool....
I have an Aqua rite Salt Generator for my gunite pool. When we have the pool installed we were told that adjectives we had to do be to shock the pool ( I add in the region of 10 lbs of shock to my 22,000 gallon pool when I open it), make a payment a few (6) large tablets of chlorine (to find chlorine into the pool) , and bring the salt height up to a max of 3500 ppm. Then we would not have to join anything except to adjust the ph level from time to time during the season. I run the pool pump 24 hrs when we start it up. We later clean the filter, then we give the above. We keep going into chlorine constraint. What is the cause of this? I have need of some advise. Thanks
Answers: Chlorine "evaporates" to the atmosphere inherently. If you put a bowl of bleach on the counter, in something like 2 days, you will no longer smell the chlorine in the bleach. Try it and you will see.
Because of this, you enjoy to continually add chlorine to your pool. This is typical.
You can slow the evaporation by covering your pool when not in use. This is similar to putting the boater back on a bottle of bleach.
PH level will stay constant, until people hit the pool. If you are have a "pool party", you can add clorine tablets prior to their arrival. Kids are the worst, younger kids habitually pee after hitting the water. Especially if the sea is slightly cool. I manage a motel pool & spa..It's much worse on a commercial height. You're supposed to shower before entering the pool or spa, but only just anyone does.
