Self propelled mowers either hold a front wheel drive "drive wheel', or a rear controls drive, which is usually a belt, or a hydrostatic fluid enclosed in a film (Honda). the mower goes forward on its own as long as u hold up on the fiddle with...u dont have to push it.just approaching the walk behind type.
