What should I expect? I am getting my home refinanced and was wondering what will develop because the appraiser said it should take in the order of 30 minutes to complete.
I am having a bit of an electrical problem near the lights in my home and this problem only just started a few days ago (The dining room light will not come on, some of the kitchen lights won't and one of the bedroom lights.)
Will the appraiser check it and would that turn against me? I don't have the money right immediately to pay a electrician so it's going to be a few weeks previously I can get it fixed.
Answers: Electric is not usually a factor surrounded by the appraisal unless it is an upgrade. If you have have all of the electric redo and you give the appraiser a price they will include that within the overall price tag. They are not going to subtract anything though. Generally in the appraisal a human being measures the length of adjectives the rooms, the garage, notes of any additions or remodeling,up to date roof or siding, new stove or other appliances such as hotwater stove or airconditioning, finished basement and width of property. Homes of the surrounding properties are incorporated. The main piece that determines how much your house is worth is the square footage, number of bedrooms and bathrooms and what the surrounding homes have sold for. IN the defence of refinancing, they just want to sort sure that your house can be sold for what the mortgage is if you were to lapse on payments. I wouldn't verbs about the electric. Just narrate them you have an electrician coming. (You really should anyway to form sure there isn't any elecrtical fire hazard going on).
When we refinanced, the guy came when we weren't home. He looked around the outside, took some pix and that be it...just don't be home to administer any clues. However, you probably should call someone to check your circuit panel because it sounds resembling a breaker has gone fruitless. When they hook things up in the breaker box they group different things resembling switches, plugs, etc. The problem you're having could efficiently be the breaker.
