What gentle of tool do I obligation to screw rotten a broken plastic "nut" from a shower arm?? I screwed on a new shower hose on to my shower...
I screwed on a new shower hose on to my shower arm. I used an adjustable wrench to create it tight. I screwed it too hard and the item broke (it was non metal, probably plastic). Now in that is a broken off piece still remaining on the threads of the shower arm! I enjoy tried and tried to remove it myself (by hand). I tried the wrench and it does not budge. I cannot mount a new piece until the broken piece comes sour. Please tell me what type of tool I needs to give somebody a lift this piece off...thankfulness for your help.
Answers: You can try to boil the plastic nut and melt & remove.
otherwise try adjectives spaner.
if you can use a small pipe wrench. If there isnt satisfactory material to grasp, and since you mention it is plastic I would use some box cutters to cut (carefully so that you wont interfere with the underlying threads) the nut essentially in partially (two cuts at 180 degrees apart) and after just verbs off. What might clear it easier is heating up the blade so that it cuts through the plastic resembling butter. Good luck
