My bedroom door rattles when the window is plain at night.
I'm not really looking to run a seal adjectives the way around the jamb, but can't see any DIY product for this particular problem. At the moment hubby have his PJ trousers slung over the door!
Scarey!
Just jam a piece of folded up cardboard in between the door and the frame when you close the door. Stops it for moving. Thats what i used to do anyway. upright luck. shut the window in the other room. your creating a vacuum.
Simple, just go to your local hardware store or homecenter. Buy a rubber insulator gasket that adhears to the door preserve. Your door has a little space between to preserve and the door and is rattling when the wind blows. This gasket is across the world used as an insulator for preventing cold air from blowing through the door gap but will compress your gap and work effectivly for your rattling problem. Either adjust the strike plate where on earth the door knob bolt enters or put some self sticking cabinet door bumpers on the jamb. Nomally the strike plate will have for a while ear inside it that you can adjust so as to pull the door closer to the jamb.just get in with a fastener or screwdriver and bend it . Look at it and you will see how. Good Luck
Answers: The quick, simple and cheap way is simply to stick a piece of soft rubber exactly where on earth the door is not closing properly.
Experiment a bit - to ascertain exactly where the door is not touching the frame. Once you have located this spot, fleck it with a piece of chalk, clean it all right - and stick a very small piece of rubber at that spot only - usually it won`t show at adjectives.
Use a good glue, or it will soon dribble off with the constant closing of the door.
Tip - close the door right now on the rubber (there needs to be very slight pressure) and this will facilitate the rubber to stick.
