I have a gas pipe that's running into my pool shed (for the pool heater), and it's awfully rusty. I'm worried about it rusting adjectives the way through and allowing the gas to escape out. Is there something I can spray on it to preserve the rust from getting worse?

(I spray it with WD40 every year, but that doesn't lend a hand much)
its probably just a ascend build-up of rust... get a line brush clean the nouns well. find a good primer spray can , use 2-3 pale coats.. then top bad with the color of your pipe or any color you choose.. should ultimate for years..
But if you are that concerned, call a repair guy to come over and exchange the supply line over to a plastic one and your problem will be solved ...

It goes on clear and is odorless and also won't go away a mess, but should definitely assistance you out with your rust problem at a exceedingly cheap price. Lastly, I would suggest spraying the pipe more than just once a year, I don`t know monthly or bi-weekly just to be sure you protect the pipe. Hopefully this can relieve you out and prevent such a crucial pipe from rusting through. Best of luck!

Answers:    as long as the pipe is pretty sound you can use a cable brush to clean bad any rust. paint it with primer and after give it a biddable coat or two of oil base paints. if you are really in doubt roughly speaking the quality of the gas row you should get it replaced and afterwards paint the new one as soon as possible
