Hi there,
I've get a problem with some hose coming up through cracks in my floorboards surrounded by my hallway. I'm contained by a basement flat so underneath the laminate is concrete.
It's surrounded by an area in the region of 1 metre squared - the laminate has swelled and little bits of dampen are coming up between them. It's not huge gushes, just little bits, and they squelch slightly.
Could it be internal heating pipes?
And who should we call upon to investigate? A damp company, surveyor, builder, plumber?
Any proposal would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Answers: How long have u be there? have it just started?
the problem we own ,depending on your location, we have have masses over the annual rainfall surrounded by the last year and the wet tables are peaked out! rising chilly wouldnt do that in such quantitys but you are within a basement so my first guess is my thinking mostly!
If you own it your probably within the doggy doos! you may need a plumber if it is wet systems, (have a look at your radiators if you have em as the pipes will any be surface mounted on the walls or under them boards) if they are below, thats a good guess! a dank company will cost you loads and loads and the normal methods to combat soakages approaching that are either simple but non powerful or very destructive to your home and especially expensive!....dont bother with a builder as he/she may newly get a "damper" surrounded by and charge you for the privilage of some phone calls...and a plumber will also charge for appointment out!
Do your homework if you do need a pro contained by!.....dont get swept away beside nonsense! dont be afraid to ask!
