I have such a rotten innkeeper on this earth. Honest to God!!! I hold this leak on my ceiling and whenever the woman upstairs (which is not a nice person) take a shower the leak get worse. The crack on the celing is where my closet door on one side of the room to the other side of the room and the crack is getting bigger respectively time the water go. I told my landlord and he postpones the work and he tells me to budge to the girl and tell her. What contained by the world can she do to solve the problem? What can I do? If I call the Health Department can my manager get me evicted? He is the type of party where he would. He treats adjectives his tendants like crap. I cannot afford to move out.
Check to see if you enjoy a renters advocacy group in your nouns. They can help and can protect you against getting evicted for complaining. Other than that, you are at the mercy of the tenant.
Send Him a Registered message Detailing the problem and give him a time frame to repair approaching 10 to 20 Days, Tell him that after the Time period that you hold given him you are going to have it repaired and pilfer it out of the rent....In California he cannot evict you because of a repair. Aside from that you can contact your housing dept and have his license to rent an apartment suspended, But later you loose your place....So your Kinda stuck...Sorry
I think I don`t know you could go upstairs and see if it is something smooth to fix and Just fix it yourself..... and While you are at it take dinner up for your upstairs neighbor, gross a new friend.
