hi, My ac stopped working and water from it has flooed my subterranean vault. It sounds like its working but no air is coming out of the vent..

Someone on YA said it the evporator coil may have frozen and needs to dissolve.

Do you know were the evaporator coil is ? Is this on the indoor part of the part or on the outside one? And how long shoul I wait to see if it thaws to start it again?

Thanks so much
The coil is on the outside element and it will thaw itself and work again, but you need to win someone to check it out, because it might do it again. You have low freon or some valve may be desperate. abouv blower motor
The evaporator is Incorporated in the package section blower section or furnace section. It is contained by the inside unit. Two reasons for flooding.

(1) the evaporator have Iced due to poor air flow through the inside system.
(2) The condensate drain tube (line) is clogged and water is support out at the evaporator section. in the underground store. Look for Ice on the pipes leading between the outside and inside unit. this is a sure sign that the evaporator is Iced. Turn it past its sell-by date.. it may take as long as three hours to properly thaw. Meantime look for reason why it Iced. A dirty filter restricts airflow and it will Ice. Obstructions to the vents and return air can do duplicate thing. A broken belt or bad motor on the indoor part can do the same thing. Change the filter, permit the unit thaw, use a raining vacuum and find and vacuum the PVC drain line. And try to run it after thawing. Never set your Thermostat below 69 degree as a rule of thumb to prevent icing
of the evaporator during the night .
If your blower inside is working, and all the airflow seem normal, and it ices again, then you may be short on coolant (Refrigerant) (Freon)
Answers:    check your nouns filter. a dirty air filter prevents aif flow across the indoor coil. the coil ices over, melts, and you win a wet carpet...

if it's not the atmosphere filter and the unit isnt cooling, your refrigerant charge could be low. check and change the atmosphere filter first.
put it on fan only it will be above or below your blower take a hour or so the problem is why did it ice clogged filter low refridgerant clogged coil i d thaw it out and bid a tech
