We live in a rented property at the finishing of a cul-de-sac and the property on the next street to ours have huge trees on thier side of the fence that are very soon growing over so much that are starting to block our windows. Would it be ours, the landlords or the neighbours responsibilty to cut stern the trees on our side?
Answers: You or your landlord can cut any overhanging trees on your side that are blocking your feathery but you must throw any cuttings back over the blockade as legally they are their property. individually, I would speak to them and tell them you are have to cut the trees back first to avoid any heartlessness. You are within your rights to do this.
The decree claims that you can cut back any foliage specifically on your side and you can in reality throw the debris on their side. However this is both time and work consuming, Contact the council or you insurance company and claim that you are concerned that the trees may hold an impact on subsidence in the close at hand future to your property, This may enforce the neighbours to hold the trees pruned which should be done in direct to alleviate future problems near the roots encroaching on drains etc.
