so we bought a new hose and it has one and the same problem! It is not the hose gasket, since it is not leaking from that area, but from the nouns of the hose end and the hose itself. Both the old hose and the brand new one leak the same agency when attached to this hose reel.
HELP! and thanks
Try putting some teflon cassette around the male part.

We've had the same problem and solved it near a white teflon tape used by plumbers & sold in the plumbing dept. Just be sure when applying the cartridge to wrape it around the male end of the bobbin where your hose screws onto surrounded by a clockwise wrap if you are looking at the male end come first on, otherwise it will unwrap itself when screwing on the hose. Yeah, they usually leak. I other use some of that plumber's pipe tape wrapped three times around the male extension and then tighten it with a wrench.
Answers:    If it is a gasket problem the shared between the hose and the swiveling female nut is exactly where it will seep. For some reason the nut isn't threading far enough onto the mannish end. Look for a rough spot on the male conclusion on the hose reel that is preventing the gasket from spaces or on the threads for a bad spot that is keeping the womanly nut from screwing far enough. Try doubling the gaskets if you don't find anything comprehensible. Teflon tape will seal the threads just.
