I have 2 bathrooms, one of the top floor right above the 2nd bathroom which is on lower rank. Recently, I changed the tub spout and shower head on the bathroom on the top floor. I go into the lower floor bathroom and there is hose coming from the vent in the bathroom? I cant amount this out? Any Help? The ceiling thus far appears ok. Thanks.

Answers:    It sounds like you any stripped the threads on the tub spout, (or shower elbow) or caused the spout on the other side of the wall to become loose. Most places have a access port on the stern wall behind the tub. If within is not one, I suggest cutting one to see where on earth the leak is coming from until that time it causes principal damage.

How tight did you screw on the upper tub spout? If it is not screwed on far plenty, water can run down inside the wall and come out the vent.
