I've had Sears/Kenmore "hose down softeners" all of my existence, but the last 2 I've purchased own given me trouble. I'm going to buy a new one (other than Sears) and would close to to know if anyone has have good reliability next to other brands ? Thanks in credit for your info.

Answers:    Purchase a softener that is a minimum of 30,000 pellet. The softener should be rated to number of bathrooms and size of home. The smaller number electronics the better. Keep it simple. Make sure your backwash cycle is set by the usage of water. The more hose down used the more frequent you backwash. Kinetico softener is best in my book. Uses no electricity. You wages high dollar for them though. Installed sear brands they make a suitable product. Hope this helps.
