Water heating system issues, oblige? Hi All! My husband and I recently bought a house (right past Thanksgiving)....
Hi All!
My husband and I recently bought a house (right past Thanksgiving). I've noticed that when I'm within the shower, the hot water go from hot to freezing cold within 6-10 minutes of anyone in the shower every time. No other appliances (dishwasher, wash machine etc.) are man used to possibly take up the hot hose in the cistern while I'm showering.
Our water oven was installed surrounded by 2002, so it's fairly unsullied and in great condition. It's gas, and my husband and I turned the pilot lantern up a bit on it to see if it would help beside the quick heat change to no avail.
Does anyone hold any idea what might be cause this? I want to exhaust my options past I break down and have someone come look at it or replace it adjectives together. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!! :)
Answers: Fews things to give attention to about . . .
6-10 minutes at what flow rate, you might simply get 10 minutes at a exceptionally high rate
how big is the cistern, 30, 40, 50 gallons, abviously that makes a huge difference,
typically the temp is set at ~ 120 degree and a 40 or 50 gallon tank should obtain you about 20+ minutes at a moderate flow rate, if you turned the temp up over 120 and still merely get 10 minutes beside a 40 or 50 gallon tank, the thermastat might be doomed to failure, use a meat thermometer to measure the temp of the hose, lastly it would be unusual but miniral deposits can build up and cover the bottomcausing very long rescue times, open the drain and sort sure a good flow comes out
There's no mention of the size of your hot river tank, possibly it's simply too small???
