Water Meter Question? I live in Georgia....do the numbers on the dampen meter ...

I live in Georgia....do the numbers on the dampen meter indicate gallons or are they some other kind of mention numbers...My daughters water usage have doubled in the final month or so and I have looked adjectives up under her trailer, checked adjectives faucets etc. and even went out to the meter and watch the dial for a while to make sure that it didn't move....can anyone construe of anything I might need to check or could it be that the meter reader read the meter wrong..
Answers:    First, a discharge before the meter would not inflict the problem. Either they estimated the reading, the meter is bad, someone is stealing it, or you missed the outflow. Change the flappers in the toilets, they could be slack up, off and on.
As a manager and owner of 3 mobile home parks I have great experience contained by tracing water leak. First, make sure everything surrounded by her trailer is off, including the rime maker. The meter should own a small, triangular wheel that will turn if in that is the slightest usage. Most excess usage comes from commode flapper balls slack up. A running toilet can use thousands of gallons per month and are the usual culprits. Also, try turning the water bad at the trailer and check the meter. This will eliminate the possibility of a slick between the meter and the trailer. If the line is cavernous in the ground, the escape might not show up. Keep a close eye on the meter and make sure near are no commodes running.
