Our water boiler has be turning on too frequently. It even goes on when we're not using the hot hose down, even many hours after anyone have used any hot water. I'm afraid of the gas bill we're going to procure because of this--or worse! Any ideas something like what could be going on, and who I should contact about this? (plumber, gas co.?)
Answers: it sounds to me that you own a lot of ruins at the bottom of your tank. heres what you do. capture a garden hose and hook it up to the drain line at the bottom of the container. turn off the gas to your cistern. now shut bad the water to the container. Take off the hot side piping to the cistern to air can push the sea out. open the drain and drain the container. may take a few hours. If the dampen does not come out turn on the valve to get hold of it started. once it starts draining turn off the spigot again. once the tank is drained recconnect the hot side. in a minute turn on the water preserve flushing the tank until the dampen turns clear. close the valve turn your gas put money on on and relight the pilot. this should get it pay for to normal
HOW HIGH IS THE THEROMSTAT SET? HIGHER TEMPS WILL CAUSE THE HEATER TO COME ON MORE OFTEN.
