WE bought a 6 year gas water electric fire about 3 years ago.
All of a sudden we are have issues where the pilot lighting won't stay lit. They sent us all investigational parts, include a new spout, which we had our plumber replace.
Our Plumber think they need to impart us a new one and install it because this one is a lemon.
He have replaced everything twice and it still won't stay lit.
Venting is not an issue, he checked all that too.
Any thinking?
Answers: Do what the plumber said. That's what you paid him for, his expertise.
If adjectives the parts are new and you still own have the problem, look outside the hose heater. Downdraft on flue, drought of combustion air, drafts, low gas pressure, blocked flue and roughly a dozen other things can cause this.
Water heaters aren't cheap, and you'd touch foolish if you bought a new one only just to still have impossible to tell apart problem.
