If we are not getting hot water adjectives of a sudden does that mean we involve a new wet heater??
Heavens no. Water heaters are vastly long lived appliances. Nothing unrepairable happens to them until they rust out and start leak. First, check to see if your water boiler is still lighted. If the pilot is burning then you probably call for a new thermocouple.

Answers: let assume that your water electric fire is run on gas. Then the pilot light have gone out. You can re-light it--maybe a sudden draft from somewhere has blown it out.
If you re-light the pilot restrained and it doesn't want to stay on then the Thermocouple have gone bad and requirements replacement. It a $3 part and natural to replace.
If youhave an electric heater next check the circuit breaker to see if it has flipped stale. Maybe a heating item has gone fruitless and shorted out the circuit breaker. The element is also a replaceable part of the pack. Usually in a home space heater there are 2 elements to boil the water contained by the tank.Also a relatively inexpensive element.
