Victor electronic mouse trap issue? Has anyone used the electronic mouse trap by Victor? I tried...

Has anyone used the electronic mouse trap by Victor? I tried it for the first time and ran into some problem. I put some peanut butter at the entrance, some in the middle, and consequently some way back within the trap where the metal plates are. This morning I noticed the pb at the entrance be gone, but no mouse -- it didn't really go very far into the trap.

I be wondering if those diagonal "barriers" inside the trap could be a problem. The mouse is small, but it doesn't seem like it would be capable of squeeze pass those barriers to seize to the metal plate. Any thoughts?
Answers:    dsgrieve, I'm not sure which model of the mouse trap you have, but I just get a Victor electronic mouse trap and it doesn't have any foil that can be lifted up. The instruction for where on earth to apply the bait is also kind of ambiguous. But I did find a picture from amazon.com where it shows the bait be applied all the way at the finishing of the trap, along the wall, where there are a dozen or so little holes. Good luck!
You didn't follow the instructions, did you? There is a piece of foil on the underside that lift up (like a flap). The peanut butter goes there - not at the entrance or within the middle.

Put the trap back, but don't put the PB at the entrance. The mouse will come back.
