Venting my dryer...please assistance? I just bought a house, that be orginaly a church. ...
I just bought a house, that be orginaly a church. The previous owners did most of the conversion in making it a house. But surrounded by the laundry room, they never put in a dryer vent. It have a brick exterior, which is probably why they never vented it. Also right losing the laundry room is an outdoor, enclosed hot tub room. I am wondering what I can do to vent the dryer, and if I shift thru the brick wall, it will not only be concrete, but it will go into the hot tub room, and I consider that would cause problems also. I live within Michigan, so we get alot of snow, but is it possible to turn thru the roof? The room has 10 ft celings. Any proposal?
Answers: if it's an electric dryer you can buy an indoor vent that uses a small container with a bit of hose in it to take in for questioning the lint. you can get it at any home depot. you can travel thru the roof with the proper fittings.
yes,,move about up through the roof...you can get vent covers for dryer vent made for roof applications...good luck..
