I just installed a up to date vacuum belt on my upright vacuum cleaner, but when I turn it on it first seem to be working and the brush span, but to be sure I turned it off and rear legs on and it now make a high-pitched roar and a burning smell. The vacuum belt doesn't seem to move, and the rotating brush won't spin.
What's wrong?
Answers:    The belt is locked up presently, thats why you smell the rubber burning smell. Retrace your steps, and make sure its the right belt, and the tautness on it is correct. The should be a way to adjust the rigidity on the belt.
