ok, so i bought a full length mirror to put on my wall but it was an "over the door mirror" but i infer it said on the package that it could also be mounted on the wall. here isn't anything on the back that can stir on the wall. so my question is...what supplies could be used to swing up the mirror on my wall? it isnt very heavily built...just a simple full length mirror. my brother is going to lowes tomorrow so i hope he can bring some stuff for it.
my other question is: are in that lamps (like the nice that goes on a wall) that still have a chord and plugs in...instead of need an electrician to do a bunch of stuff. if so, where can i gain one? i want it above my mirror and my mom doesn't want it to be a huge project. thank you if you can help me! sorry if my question aren't clear enough...im tired lol
Answers: the typical over the door type mirrors are usually thoroughly thin, massively cheap [$10-$15?], and thus, very oil lamp. Use the 3M Command strips mentioned above, they will be plenty strong enough for these mirrors.
If it is a glutinous, heavy mirror, the local hardware store will enjoy mirror fasteners. These are unanimously installed exactly like the other chap said, but are normally for thicker plate chalice mirrors without a frame of any munificent, just a polished creep.
A cheap way to progress for your lite would be an office supply or college supply shop for a "clip" light. It will hold a spring clip to hold the lamp on your bedpost or on the frame of your latest mirror. A real wall wishy-washy is called a "sconce", and comes contained by trillions [well, you know what I mean] of sizes, styles, and shapes, corded or direct wired. Make sure mom helps you pick one out, so you don't engender the electric bill jump $500. A corded one can be installed by you or mom, but a direct wired one will want a call to your local "Sparky".
near the mirror there should be screw and plastic clips that come with it, save ask for them at the hardware store...using a level, holding the mirror on the wall at the largeness you want and draw a light pencil string on the wall at bottom of mirror. Set the mirror aside and mount two of the bottom clips on the line at roughly speaking 6 inches a part, using simple plastic anchors. create sure that the hole for the anchors are small so that he anchor push in to some extent tight. After the bottom clips are in, Ask your bro To minister to. slide the mirror down on the clips and then incorporate two on top, and two on each side evenly spaced at in the region of three feet apart.
you should be capable of find a light approaching the one you describe. it should be mounted very safe and sound...into a wall stud if possible if not molly bolts may be necessary as anchors.
