Two different dryers, one similar problem! My dryer quit drying for me!?

I have a dryer explicitly only a couple of years old-fashioned and it had quit drying my clothes. So, I picked up another dryer and plugged it contained by and it is doing the same article! Again, the second dryer is probably only a few years dated. Now, the second dryer had a 4 chain "pigtail" so I had to tweaking it to a 3 wire because i own older electrical system in this house. I made sure that the ground telecommunication was connected to the impartial wire. Still not drying anything! I even bought a fresh pigtail! I checked all the fuses and even replaced a few of them. Btw, It is an elder fuse box not a breaker box. It has those frail fuses that look like shotgun shells. Anyway, I'm lost! Surely I don't hold two dryers with fried heat elements!?!?! Any help would be appreciated!
Make sure the lent vent is clean-Check it where it go out of your house and also where you put the vent onto your dryer. This is a big service nickname for our company--From what your explaining I would say your vent is blocked.

Checking the voltage at the outlet is a appropriate idea along withthe fuses.
If specifically OK then inform me what make and model and I'll point you toward the primary sanctuary overheat fuse (in the dryer) that most often fail.

Answers:    The motor usually runs rotten the 110V AC and the heating feature off 220V AC. One side of the two 110V lines coming to the dryer is probably out. Most credible the fuse is blown on that side. There is sometimes a secondary fuse box closer to the dryer that could own the fuses in it. You might enjoy to pull those videotape fuses out and check them with a meter to find the problem. Unlikely but possible, a chain could have come lose from the wall outlet.
