Tubelight - Pull Chord? I have a tubelight within a walk within closet. To turn it...

I have a tubelight within a walk within closet. To turn it on and off, I hold to pull a cord.

The components seems to broke and it is on in a minute. I can not turn it off

How does that machine work?

If i can not fix it, I can cut the wire and put a switch to turn it on and past its sell-by date. But what kind of switch do i have need of?

Answers:    go to lowes or home depot they put up for sale this part which you will enjoy to replace be sure circuit is off prior to doing this

Take it down and to the hwd store,see if they hold a new one.
