Got a Servis double oven with the larger bottom one being a hanger-on assisted one the top one is a conventional.. Last night we turned on the fan assisted oven , sparks be shooting at the glass, we since thenhave cleaned the metal plate that covers the fan thinking it be spills that had caused the sparks and immediately the fan works but there's no heat, the oven is smaller number then four years old.is this a costly big livelihood? Thanks in advance.
Answers:    Sounds similar to the fan element have blown its around lb30 to replace but if you get an engineer to fit its it will cost approx another lb30 plus any give the name out.

its fairly easy to fit newly unscrew the back of the oven with the devotee in situ and its a round coil surrounding the fan held by 4 or so screw with 2 electrical connections. about an hours work!
Call a local get out of your yellow pages or your local broadsheet and it should cost no more than lb70-lb90 to repair. Call the manufacture and that will cost well over a lb100 only just for the engineer to call. So local guy and 1/2 the price. By the road, its the coil element that's blown. Yep I would agree 100% with the answer above, but would append put three clothes pegs on the cables going to the constituent ( remove them after you connect the new element ) to stop them from falling through the final of the oven
