During a snow and ice storm the sizeable brances from their tree snapped off and fell on my property. Who is liable to verbs these branches away?? They are very bulky and a lot of them and cost would be expensive to remove them.
Neighbor is a extraordinarily thick head woman and should not have planted this tree so close to the property smudge in first place- Along next to that its right next to a retaining wall which is starting to collapse.
Thank god you dont enjoy a neighbor like this ....
Thanks for any information anyone may dispense ( legally)
Answers: Generally called an deed of god or nature, and it is your responsibility not your neighbors'. A GOOD neighbor would unsurprisingly come over and remove them, which is a social obligation, but rightfully she has no necessity at all. You should know how to cut off any limb that overhang your property, however.
Since the tree is on her property, it is her responsibility....it is essentially littering your yard. However, if she is as thickheaded as you read out, don't expect her to go along smoothly, you may have to force the issue via a legal representative or the city.
