Answers:    1st thing I would check is to sort sure the choke is closeing all the track when trying to start when it's cold. Remove the airfilter cover..pull the choke lever and check to see if it's closed adjectives the way. If not adjust it. In thaw out weather your tractor may not need to be choked as much. Hope this solves your problem.
