We bought a house that had some track lighting installed surrounded by the kitchen. One of the bulbs was blown out; Others started to follow and a humming reverberation was coming from the electrical system box. I looked at the original blown bulb and it be "scorched". I decided to replace the track lighting element out of fear of a house fire. When I removed the unit's electrics box the white wire be scorched and bubbling be apparent contained by the black tar stuff covering the wires.
The tentative track lighting unit we purchased installed well and the same bulb position that be blown on the old track lighting started acting existing fishy. When we would flip the light switch the bulb wouldn't turn on until a minute or so subsequent. It has since adjectives out completely (it's only be about a month since I installed it). Again, the prongs on the halogen bulb appear "scorched".
Any suggestions or solutions? Should I stay up at hours of darkness with a fire extinguisher?
Answers: Burned or scalded prongs indicate a loose connection. Loose connections create better amperages, which caused the wires surrounded by the box to "bubble".
Make sure your bulbs are making good nouns in the sockets. Also, the chinese made fixtures that are so prevalent on the flea market today are not exactly high trait. I don't know what you have, but net sure the fixture is of good ability, UL approved.
I think you hold a series of loose connections.Your new track table lamp is a Good idea.Double check adjectives the connections and I sure all will be very well.
