Toilet Tank problem? I had to turn off the hose supply to our upstairs toilet...

I had to turn off the hose supply to our upstairs toilet when we went on vacation, but very soon that I'm trying to turn it back on, no water is coming out. Everything else is working, the shower and sink have water except for the toilet. Please help!
sounds like you call for a rebuild kit for your toilet, give the name a plumber and have the kit installed and you will be in good spirits because it sounds like it was failing. here is a connection to a kit:http://www.fluidmaster.com/index.asp?bhc...

The stopcock seat has stuck closed inside the spout. You will need to clean it out and replace the form ( washer ) inside it.

It could also be your valve inside the toilet tank is stuck closed...snigger it around to see if it opens.
Answers:    Sounds close to a blockage but can't determine if blockage is in the line or the ballcock assembly itself. Cut the wet back off to the toilet and unbutton the supply line right at the underside of the tank. Place the extremity of the tank line contained by a plastic bucket and s-l-o-w-l-y cut the water on at the shut-off valve. If you see river free flowing then your blockage is at the ballcock assembly and it will need to be replaced beside a new one to restore water to the toilet container. If water does not flow into the bucket then your supply stripe is blocked and will need to be flushed. A plumber or handyman can flush the line for a minimal charge.
