HELP!!

You set off the flush process by pressing the HANDLE. Inside the tank, the bar is attached to the flush valve and lift the flush valve upward. This allows the dampen in the cistern to flow rapidly into the toilet bowl. This cause the water surrounded by the bowl to circulate and flush down the siphon taking everything inside the bowl with it. Eventually the flush stopcock will come down to block the water flow from the cistern to the bowl. This will allow the tank to imbue up with more wet.
But a common culpability is that with the flush spigot. Either it does not sit properly in the down position or the secure gets entangled holding the flush valve up. This allows the wet in the container to continue to discharge into the bowl where it eventually leak out down the sipon.
Using your hand, play near the chain or the flush spigot (in your tank, it will probably be black and made out of not easy rubber). You will know you have it seated properly when the container starts to fill up near water.
I hope this explanation help.
There is a flapper in the bottom of the container (where I think you are pouring the water). Make sure it is closing. The fasten might be twisting or something else might be holding the flapper valve uncap.
