hey,
i was toasting some pop-tarts this morning and notice that a "crack", in the factor is starting to expand. i have a DeLonghi AS40 Alfredo 1400 Watts Toaster Oven, and i be wondering if i needed to replace the element as it looks approaching its gonna explode. the element is usually red when i warmth stuff but the crack is glowing yellow/gold. i be worried as i thought it might blow up my oven haha...well anyways gratitude for your replys

Answers:    Yes the element is going out. I would stop using it until you can find it replaced. If you continue to use it, you can create more deface and possibly a fire.
Or replace the whole toaster.

the worst that would develop is it will blow a circuit braker..chances are its getting anodyne and will need replaced..if you cant do it, after take it to a fix-it shop..they really arent that complex to do...
