It's a newer Kenmore Quiet Guard standard, and all of the sudden the door will not uncap to let the soap out during the cycle. I tried cleaning around the hinge and the entire nouns, thinking it may be stuck, but, alas...any ideas?

Answers:    The soap containers can receive a bit gummed up with soap. Check it cautiously and clean away any crusty prehistoric soap or dirt that might be caked around the door and especially the hinge and latch.
There is a product available that actually cleans the interior of your dishwasher. I haven't used it but my daughter have and she told me it really works. It is avail. from supermarket.

Ah ha, somebody else with alike problem and same machine. I put the soap pellet outside the appliance and let it step into the machine minus going through the process. However, I saw my wife putting the pellet inside the door, so it must be working again. Don't know, good quiz.
