i live in michigan and ending month my heating bill be up a little within nov. because i kept the heat on 68 at adjectives times. in dec. the temps be down and i bought a portbale plug in electric fire for my room. i turned down my heat to 60 because i am not home most of the afternoon other than at dark. they sent me a questionare asking if i was on leave or i tampered beside the guages. i sent a reply that i turned down the heat because i am not home most of the morning. i think they thought i be lying because they changed the old meter to a topical digital. do they have the right to ask your personal question like that on their survey/questionare?
Answers: Technically they don't enjoy the right to ask you why your electric bill is less. So I don't see where on earth they need to know what your living customs are. If that was the casing I'd be getting calls adjectives the time because I only use the furnace contained by the morning to take the chill stale in the house next I use my wood stove the rest of the day. I set the furnace to give or take a few 60 degrees at hours of darkness and it may kick on 2 times during the rash morning hours say approaching around 2-5 am. My furnace is Propane also. My power bill is around $70-80 a month, and I usually fill the propane container one time a year and occasionally 2 times a year if its really been cold. I also turn stale the pilot light on the furnace during the summer to collect propane.
