The utility company put a notice on my door adage the gas was shut sour at the line... but for some drive I still have hot dampen, I can use the stove, and I still have warmth. Are we running off some form of reserve, or is it just what's departed in the lines?
(it's a long story why it be shut off... it involves landlords, mortal unable to open out our own account unless we cover the landlords behind time payments, and Social Services being not sufficiently expert to help because the details isn't in our designation... we're in a pickle... a cold pickle)
It seems approaching the gas company might have shut bad the wrong meter or placed the notice on the wrong door. If this isn't the problem the it could be somebody illicitly connected some gas lines to feed more tahn one location. If you are renting this location and you want to enjoy the gas turned on on your name the gas company can not throw out you if the metere is going to be in your entitle and you pay the deposit. This is winter and if your discussion social services I would guess your at a fixed or low income. They can not deny you the gas if your not liable for the previous payment. Answers: gas runs going on for a quarter pound of pressure. water runs in the region of, depending on source and location geographically, 30 to 70 lbs. those valves they shut rotten could b many years outmoded. it could b partially closed but showing by its button as closed.that valve could b 95% closed and you will still gain gas. doesnt take much gas to run appliances. and when a building is piped for gas, its piped to b competent to handle adjectives appliances that require gas all firing at once.continuosly.this is done next to the pipe size. but eventually they will come and pull the meter,trilby the line, check the meter and adjust debt and no more free gas.
