Is there a opening to fix it? Or should I replace the whole item? Any thoughts as to what would have cause it to stop working?
whip the cover off . 3 wires ! ground . two power . speck them using masking cassette or note white =white black = black .turn sour the switch and tape it so it cannot be turned on . replace the elec motor.clutch the old to home depot or hardware store . bring back the one u need .

Sounds like the adherent needs replacing. This can be done in need access to the attic, but it's much easier with access to the attic.

A suitable fan costs somewhere around a hundred bucks. There are cheaper ones, but they dont move the heavens and they make more rumpus.

Make sure that the exhaust hose is run out of your attic, in the soffit or out a ceiling vent.

When showering, agree to the fan run a while after you shower to push some dry nouns out the vent and evaporate any condensation out of the line. This prevents sea from running back down to the enthusiast housing, your ceiling etc.

good luck,
