i have found a spare on ebay and ordered it ,but when i open the outside rim of the door the broken pieces fell and i wasnt able to see how it be fited,so now i dont know how to fit this unknown handle.Can anyone assistance me please i am desperate cant live without a wash machine.thank you
they are tricky little things, you cant explain how to do assemble them, you of late gotta know. Take the door off (2 screw on the hinge) and take the undamaged lot to an service engineer, any wearing clothes engineer will assemble for you.
It is not possible to describe it to you, what you entail is someone who has engineering skills to work out how to fit it.
It should be duly simple.
Is there a local "fix it" service surrounded by your area (Like "Housewives Choice" or "Sorted")
Answers: I enjoy an Indesit washing electrical device and about every 4 months the wretched door lock stop working. I have to call the swing twice whilst still under the 12 month guarantee.
Then the guarantee run out and Indesit tried to sell me a unmarked guarantee for about lb60.00 for 3 years.
I decline that offer cos I watch the engineer fix my door.
The lock wasn't broken - it have moved. He didn't take the door rotten. He only unscrewed the rim from the outside, later reattached the bit. Took him about a minute.
I reckon Indesit know this is a condemn and use it to flog guarantees, but I could be being too cynical? Dunno.
Anyway, I suggest you email the ebay peddler asking them if they know. If not, sit down and try to figure it out by playing beside the pieces. Or, contact a local engineer and ask him to show you how to fix this cos I reckon you're going to hold this problem again.
