The coil on my electric stove broke and I was wondering would it still cook? I guess I hold laid some pans resting on the coil and it broke at one place. I was not sure if it will still work equal or even cook. any ideas would be awesome.
Answers: Joe, if it's broke it ain't gonna work no more. However, depending on the engender and age of the stove, it very capably may just verbs out of a recepticle that is attached to the breadth top. A lot of the newer, (within the last 10 - 15 years), ranges, own top elements that simply pull out and plug backbone in. It make it easier to clean underneath them. Check it by making sure it's cool, then lift up the opposite lip from where it appears to be attached, if it seem to be on a hinge, it will probably just verbs out. If it does, simply take it to an appliance store and buy a up to date one of the same size, same number of coils and purloin it home and plug it in. Just clear sure the particular control knob for that burner is within the OFF position.
no . get the get and model number and get a different one and replace it should be around 20-30 buck also disconnect the power to oven be working on it good luck
