Termite Bond for a Home surrounded by Jacksoville, FL? We have lived surrounded by our home in Jacksonville, FL for close...

We have lived surrounded by our home in Jacksonville, FL for close to 2 years after have lived in South Florida for former times 20 years.

The builder of the home is partnered with a local pest control company who provides a bond on our home surrounded by the event of termite damage.

Each year they come out and collect their $250, achieve a visual inspection, and spread some granule on our lawn.

I realize termites are a big issue contained by Northern Florida, however, I consider this to be a scam as $250 a year seems resembling a lot of money for spreading granule on the ground.

Does anyone have any input that will brand name me realize this is a worthwhile thing to verbs with?
When I lived contained by N. Central Florida (Ocala), I had a pest control company that did the innovative termite work and paid them $19 a month to do adjectives pest services after that. They also inspected for termites and covered any damage done while beneath contract. Your cost is really high if it is for termite control single.

Go to your local store (here in California, that's Home Depot, and OSH), and hold a look at the termite prevention products yourself. You might find it easier to put the termite deterrents into the ground yourself.

On spring days, watch to create sure that termites aren't coming out of the ground, and if they are, you'll need to do some more work.
Answers:    If you are not lower than contract to retain this service i would drop it myself. $250 a year to spread termite killer is outrageous.

If however, they do an annual inspection of the exterior and interior of the home, I would retain the service as the inspection will alert them if the granule didn't prevent the termites.

I hope this has help.
