I would like to install a tankless H2O electric fire, I currently have a container. I got strong H2O, and I seem to run out of hot b4 my shower is done, (or tub for the kids.) I'm a maintenance mechanic by trade, (electrical and plumbing,) so I can install it myself, I will use gas to warmness the H2O, but my q is, since the unit will start the heat beside a flow switch, and the igniter will probably be electric. Is there some option avail. that will work w/o electricity, (even a gas pilot will work, although I don't think they hold those,) This is because last year at hand was an rime storm in Springfield, Mo. that vanished me w/o power for 12 days, but we STILL had hot H2O. I'm surrounded by the comparison stage, and I know I need a H2O softener, but one entry at a time.
Thank You in finance for your input.
You could look into a UPS - the power draw is extremely minimal - but I doubt that you'd get 12 days worth. If you're facing 2 week outages, a generator might be a better investment. The solitary heat that I know of that works w/o power is aged gravity furnaces.
The Noritz uses 75 watts to ignite, and another 310 for the freeze protection.
Why do you say H2O instead of sea? That's a bit pretentious!
Wow, you're right. I'm sorry. It saves two packages. You are the prince of efficiency. Would you approaching to work for my bank? You could accumulate them so much money on paper
Answers: Paloma makes a Legacy series we own used in remote holiday home locations. Standing pilot light near peizo lighter - no electric involed.
They make a tankless instant hot river heater(gas) that uses no electricity. The ignition source is 2 D batteries
