Answers:    It is probably shutting down as self protection.
Remove the pump basket, can you see anything lodged contained by it?
We often find "goings-on figures" stuck in the lines.
Superman can't other fit through the lines.
You may need to disconnect & plain it up.
Google your specific model & look for PDF file breakdown.
Could be something wrapped around the impeller.
Small motor repair shop or pool store can give support to too.

Sounds as though the thermal cut-off is shutting down the motor. Unplug the pump and check to see if it spins freely by hand, save, could be an object (hair) stuck inside.
